An eclectic evening of percussion and piano. With a gong, cowbells, shakers, metallophones, and more the audience will enjoy unique musical percussion solos and duets with piano that range from the classical to the quirky. A performance not to be missed.
Free and open to the public. Doors open at 6:30 pm. Light refreshments will be available.
Percussionist Joshua Jade received his BFA in music and education from Lewis & Clark College, his MFA in multi-focus percussion from California Institute of the Arts, and did post graduate certificate work at New England Conservatory in the contemporary improvisation department. He is currently the percussionist for Sonic Liberation Players, a contemporary chamber music ensemble, and performs in area schools with Bash the Trash. As well as freelance work on both coasts he has been the principal percussionist for the Rose City Chamber Orchestra, Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, and the Concord Orchestra where he was also a featured soloist.
